A lot of rain has fallen over South East Queensland in the last few days.  Here in Ashgrove we had 173.5 mm of rain in about 22 hours up to this morning – not good weather for outdoor photography.  Even the local birdlife is under the weather in these conditions.

I took this shot yesterday morning of rainbow lorrikeets enduring some heavy rain in our back garden.  The cloud cover was so thick I had to push the ISO up to 800 (f5.6, 1/100 sec with 18-200 mm lens at 200mm).
