Northern Light

Wow!  I thought I’d seen sunsets until I went to Darwin in the Northern Territory and caught a beauty a few evenings ago.  We were at the Mindil Beach Twilight Markets and as the sun started to set the crowd moved to the sand dunes to watch the show.  It was worth travelling over 3000 km to experience.

The early part of the dry season is the best time for the light shows because the burn-off smoke just enhances the colours.

Here are some of the images I grabbed as the sun went down.  The graduated filter on the camera made sure the colours were captured in all their glory.
